stories of impact
We drive climate resilience at every level
Meet Former Fellow Stormy Light: Leading Climate Cardinals' Social Media from Phoenix, AZ
Climate Cardinals volunteers, fellows, and chapter leaders drive change locally and globally. They transform climate adaptation into resilience and reshape conversations in their communities.
From our fellows’ presence on the WHO Youth Council, translations being used across Africa by the UNDP, to chapters planting trees across Southeast Asia, everything we do is focused on creating lasting impact that strengthens community resilience to climate change.
Below is a selection of some of the stories coming out of our programs.

stories from our fellows
“Serving as Co-Director at Climate Cardinals deepened my climate leadership. Working with global volunteers taught me to center local voices, embrace grassroots solutions, and adapt strategies to regional realities.”
Katharina Mollers, Former Fellow
“Climate Cardinals shaped my journey by helping me earn opportunities like YALI and grow as a community-driven leader. It taught me how to manage projects, coordinate volunteers, and build networks that drive real impact.”
Hana Melese Maru, Former Fellow
“At Climate Cardinals, I learned how clarity, collaboration, and youth leadership can drive global impact. That experience shaped how I built ISEC CHAD with a focus on local leadership, volunteer power, and clear messaging.”
Sylvain Djérambété, Fellow
the power of a translation
Climate Cardinals translated material for the Society for the Protection of Underground Networks (SPUN) leading up to COP16. Over 1000+ policymakers and advocates interacted with the work during the summit.
Translating the Future of Water game into 7 languages enabled the UNDP to use it in Namibia and the UN Foundation to support wider global access. The French version is also reaching francophone Africa and informing water policy discussions in France.
Future of Water
care international
We translated CARE’s Climate and Resiliency Academy into Spanish, French, and Arabic. This supported over 200 policymakers annually across 60+ countries by making their training materials accessible in major UN languages.
This was institutional language access work — embedding multilingual access into CARE’s climate education infrastructure so decision-makers in non-English-speaking regions could fully participate.
