Climate Cardinals and The Nature Conservancy launch climate ambassadors program
New York City, NY – June 5, 2025 – The knowledge to tackle the climate crisis exists—but it’s often buried in technical reports, behind paywalls, or written in inaccessible languages. The new Climate Ambassadors Program aims to change that.
Launched by Climate Cardinals, the world’s largest youth-led climate education nonprofit, in partnership with environmental nonprofit The Nature Conservancy, the program activates a global network of young ambassadors across 80+ countries. Their mission: turn complex climate research into clear, shareable insights that spark action.
The Nature Conservancy emphasizes the importance of accessibility. “Knowledge is only powerful when it’s shared. The Climate Ambassadors Program ensures climate science isn’t just available—it’s easy to understand, widely distributed, and turned into action,” said Kate Ireland, The Nature Conservancy.
While the Education Team as a whole provides shareable content in multiple languages, its true impact lies in its network of ambassadors who distribute, localize, and amplify climate knowledge, ensuring that vital information reaches people everywhere, not just policymakers and scientists.
“If we want real climate action, we need to close the gap between research and reality,” said Li Yin, Director of Climate Education at Climate Cardinals. “With the Climate Ambassador program, we’re creating a global movement of communicators who are making sure climate knowledge doesn’t just sit in reports—it reaches people and drives change.”
