Chapter Updates: Youth-Led Climate Research from Pakistan

Climate action is strongest when it is rooted in local knowledge and led by the communities closest to the challenges. This month, a Climate Cardinals chapter has done exactly that.

The Climate Cardinals Pakistan Forest Institute Chapter has released a new research booklet developed by chapter lead Ibrahim Jamil, reflecting months of research and revision. The publication highlights locally grounded climate insights and demonstrates the role youth researchers can play in shaping credible, action-oriented climate knowledge.

The paper went through a full internal review process, incorporating feedback from Climate Cardinals’ research leadership to ensure clarity, rigor, and accessibility. This collaborative approach reflects our commitment to supporting young researchers not only in producing work, but in strengthening it through mentorship and peer review.

Chapter-led research like this is a core part of Climate Cardinals’ mission. By empowering youth to conduct, refine, and publish climate research within their own contexts, we help bridge the gap between global climate discourse and local realities.

We are proud to share this publication and celebrate the leadership of our Pakistan Forest Institute Chapter in advancing youth-driven climate research.
