Zeinab farag

Chapters Manager

Zeinab is a Sudanese feminist, physiotherapist, and climate justice advocate whose journey is rooted in the lived experiences of resistance, care, and healing. She manages Climate Cardinals Chapters’ Program, a global network of 119+ school-based chapters across 43 countries, together with Mercy Cai.

She began her activism in the wake of the Sudanese revolution, not through institutions, but through community organizing, educating, and protecting. Her early work focused on confronting sexual violence and advocating for bodily autonomy, especially through grassroots initiatives like the Safe Environment Initiative, which aimed to make Sudanese university spaces free from sexual harassment and exploitation. Her passion lies in supporting women and survivors, not only through care, but through dignity, safety, and justice. She sees gender-based violence, climate change, and systemic oppression as interconnected struggles, and works to challenge them from an intersectional feminist lens.

In 2025, she joined Climate Cardinals as a volunteer focused on chapter programming in MENA, driven by a desire to bridge language and representation in climate spaces. Beyond her advocacy, she is a budding artist. For her, art is a personal tool for reflection, healing, and making sense of the world around her.
