Resource Team:

The Resource Team forms and manages resource folders(both existing and translated by Climate Cardinals) on the Climate Cardinals site. The Resource Team also adds new resources to our curated folders and updates the folders. We are looking for motivated applicants who enjoy finding new information and sharing that new information with others.

Education: 

We’re looking for people who are experienced in outreach, drafting documents/proposals, good at time management and with some creative thinking and ability in providing/receiving constructive criticism. The Education Team works to build bridges with educational groups and various institutions in order to form mutually beneficial partnerships that will help us make the climate movement more accessible. Our team is responsible of identifying and constituting partnerships, and will be working closely with the research team in identifying educational materials for translation.

Partnerships:

The partnerships team coordinates partnerships with organizations, companies, and individuals.  We work on several tasks, including outreach to potential partner organizations, writing emails and other updates to partner organizations, brainstorming ideas for partnerships, holding partnership interest meetings, and doing research on potential partners.  We work to build community within our team through regular meetings and team-building activities, including personal meetings with directors and virtual coffee sessions with peers.

Fundraising:

The Fundraising team is responsible for raising the capital that makes all of Climate Cardinals’ day to day activities possible and allows us to continue to expand our impact. We organize fundraising campaigns and special events, develop strategies and projects to create new streams of income, apply to various grants and awards, and manage all donations. 

We’re looking for motivated applicants who possess both strong creative skills and an analytical mindset. You should be able to work well with others on a team, respond quickly to new tasks, and adapt to a dynamic work environment. An interest in business, finance, or marketing is a plus, but not necessary to join the team - applicants of all backgrounds are welcome.

Video Animators:

Needed: Experience with Adobe Illustrator, After-Effects or Premier Pro, (or similar programs) and short sample of work.

Video Animators work closely with our graphic designers to create informative and eye-catching videos for our social media channels.

Graphic Designers:

Our Graphics team works on a variety of different graphics for various different channels, We're in charge of making everything look good and on-brand. Some of the projects we work on include: Instagram posts, event announcements, banners for LinkedIn and Facebook, infographics + more! We welcome designers to use whatever software they are comfortable with, but we will heavily be using Canva as our team platform.

Needed: Passion for design, experience or willingness to put in the work to get really good at using a design program (Illustrator, Photoshop, Photopea, Canva, etc.), portfolio with 3-5 pieces showcasing their work. Team player!

 Technology & Web Design:

The technology team here at Climate Cardinals comprise of creative professionals rather than tech savvy individuals. We manage and keep the Climate Cardinals website updated and up and running. Having a keen eye for detail is crucial because the apparently little user user interface elements are what creates a perfect user experience. Our team also helps the entire Climate Cardinals family with basic technology issues, email or other communications issues that one may face.

Applicants with the following skill sets will have the edge during our applicant review process:

-Creative

-Team player

-Has past experience working with Sqarespace

-Has past experience working with Wordpress

Marketing:

The Climate Cardinals marketing team is a key component in promoting our mission by driving interest, interactions, business, and revenue. The marketing team is responsible for creating and managing the image of the organization and making sure we are appealing to our audience. We are responsible for digital strategy, market research and analytics, developing promotional materials, and developing relationships with like minded organizations and individuals to grow our base. We are also responsible for communications and media relations, including press releases and serving as media liaison acting as a spokesperson for Climate Cardinals. The team must be effective in contacting other organizations and promoting Climate Cardinals directly and seeking partners to expand our reach. The team ensures and monitors that our platforms are effective and attractive and works closely with all teams, especially social media and graphics, to make sure all content is on brand with the organization.

International Relations:

The international relations team works to create partnerships with international organizations and foreign governments to establish a direct outlet for distributing translations to a mass target audience. The team will contact foreign embassies to connect with relevant sectors of the governments (i.e Ministry of Education, Ministry of Environmental Affairs, etc.) in order to streamline translations into academic institutions, the media, and scientific publishings across the globe. Applicants should have an interest in foreign policy and the interaction between global politics, economics, and cultures. International relations team members should possess strong outreach and communication skills, exercise diplomacy, and adopt diverse perspectives (both global and regional) with regards to international issues.
