Alyson Newsome

Digital Strategy Manager

Alyson Newsome is the Digital Strategy Manager at Climate Cardinals, one of the world’s largest youth-focused climate organizations. Her career experience has centered on making complex environmental science, law, and policy accessible to the people they affect, from writing op-eds on plastics and ocean protection to building content strategies that let mission-driven organizations reach and mobilize new audiences.

Currently in her final year at Williams College, Alyson is studying Environmental Studies and Geosciences while she researches PFAS contamination and community access to testing in upstate New York.

Alongside her research and communications work, she has spent years as a peer educator and advisor to other young people in roles that reflect a personal commitment to community-centered, equity-focused work.

She is especially interested in where environmental justice, policy, and accessibility meet, and in making sure the communities most affected by environmental harm have a voice in the solutions.
