Internships

Summer 2026 Internship Program — Applications Now Open!

Do you want to spend your summer driving climate action and learning how a global nonprofit operates behind the scenes? A summer internship with Climate Cardinals might be right for you.

Founded by teenagers with $500 and a Google Form, Climate Cardinals has grown into one of the world’s largest climate organizations, mobilizing over 16,000 volunteers across 145 countries. Our programs break language and access barriers so that everyone—regardless of age or language—can lead climate solutions.

The Climate Cardinals Summer Internship Program offers university students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit management, program development, fundraising, and digital strategy. Interns will support our ongoing programs, including Translations, Chapters, and Fellows, as well as core workflows like Partnerships and Communications.

With a small in-person team based in New York City, interns will have the opportunity to take on significant responsibility and see the direct impact of their work. You’ll gain insight into the operations of a fast-growing nonprofit, collaborate with youth leaders from around the world, and help scale climate education and action globally.
