Climate Cardinals opens up its impact data

New York City, NY – September 1, 2026 – Climate Cardinals has published its full measurement approach online. Anyone can now see what the organization measures, how it checks the data and what it learns.

The release brings together:

Each program keeps a balanced scorecard with quarterly targets across four perspectives: financial, the people served, internal processes and learning. Outcomes come from pre- and post-surveys, and translation partners report six months after delivery on how they used the materials.

Climate Cardinals also publishes what did not work. Its post-mortem on the Fellowship pilot names the failures alongside the results, and more are on the Resources page.

"Funders and young people should be able to check our work without asking us. We would rather be smaller and excellent than bigger and average," said Hikaru Wakeel Hayakawa, Executive Director of Climate Cardinals.
