Zachary Hayes
Regional President: North America - Midwest & ES
Zachary Hayes is a Regional President at Climate Cardinals where he supports local climate advocacy while supporting Climate Cardinals’ mission in making climate change texts more accessible. He is currently a first-year student at UT-Austin majoring in Environmental Engineering interested in corporate sustainability.
Having run philanthropy for a regional leadership conference on-campus, he looks forward to contributing to the giving spirit more directly and through his upcoming role on the student-led board of UT’s on-campus food pantry. Attending the Villars Symposium last summer in Switzerland, he used his time there to think more critically about climate and technology’s intersection. Interning in Chevron’s Mid- Continental Business Unit he hopes to pursue his passions a little closer.
Outside of Climate Cardinals and his career interests, he’s an avid hiker, experienced thrifter, and novice foodie. Still an Oregonian at his core, he hopes to continue his passion for responsible climate action through Climate Cardinals.
